Oluchi Obinegbo Talks Inclusive Energy Access at ISSST 2025

Kudos to Oluchukwu Obinegbo, who presented her research at the International Symposium on Sustainable Systems and Technology (ISSST) 2025, held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her presentation, titled "Advancing Energy Poverty Assessments: Bridging Local Voices and Contextual Insights in Sub-Saharan Africa," showcased her work on rethinking conventional energy poverty metrics by integrating grounded, community-based perspectives. Drawing on fieldwork across Nigeria and South Africa, Oluchukwu’s research highlights the limitations of existing assessment frameworks and proposes more inclusive indicators that better reflect lived experiences and infrastructural realities.
