Re“Fu”se and Reuse - Fresh off the press at the Osman Lab

We are excited to announce a new publication from Osman Lab led by PhD candidate Shuojia Fu: "Exploring State-Level Messaging Toward U.S. Water Reuse: A Media Analysis Across Time and Space." Using topic modeling and sentiment analysis of news and government documents from different states and cities, the study investigates institutional attitudes toward water reuse and how media patterns change over time and across regions. By focusing on institutional messaging instead of public opinion, the study offers a fresh perspective on how state-level views on water reuse are evolving. The results provide a practical framework for utilities to improve collaboration with local institutions and guide federal strategies to support states in early water reuse adoption. Stay tuned for more details and upcoming collaborations.
