Wrapping up the Winter Quarter: CEE 145E/245E

Professor Osman’s course “Equitable Infrastructure Solutions” came to a fitting close with student presentations. This course serves as an introduction to prominent theories of equity and environmental justice, emphasizing their application in infrastructure implementation.

We are happy to say that the students enjoyed this course as much as Professor Osman enjoys teaching it! We have heard that the course is a “gamechanger for anyone in civil engineering”, and creates a rare “safe space” to talk about equity issues in CEE. Each iteration of the course comes with new challenges, and the Osman Lab is excited to see how future versions will help shape the discourse on equity in the engineering space at Stanford and beyond.
