Summer Kickoff! New Faces at the Osman Lab

The Osman Lab kicked off the summer with dinner at the Pacific Catch Palo Alto and a chance to welcome four new students to the team!

This summer, Nela Loftin joins us from Swarthmore College, where she studies Engineering and Environmental Studies; Huy Nguyen joins from UC Berkeley, where he studies Data Science and Statistics; and Xuanjia Qiao joins from Tsinghua University, where she studies Foreign Languages and Literatures alongside Computer Science. We are also excited to welcome Clara Liao, our second Clara! Clara is a Master’s student in Environmental Engineering with a background from the University of Michigan, where she worked on water and wastewater treatment, microbiology, and community-engaged design. This summer, she will be exploring data-driven approaches to emerging contaminants and their health impacts.

Welcome Nela, Huy, Xuanjia, and Clara! We are excited for a great summer together!
